1. Introduction

Welcome to Quibble, the innovative Chrome Extension here to assist students with their academic endeavors. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided through the Quibble Chrome Extension ("Quibble", "we", "our" or "us"), including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through https://getquibble.com (the "Website"). Please read these Terms carefully before you start using Quibble.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using Quibble, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not want to agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use Quibble.

3. User Account and Registration

To use Quibble, you must register for an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.1 Email Marketing Subscription

By creating an account on the Quibble website, you agree to automatically be subscribed to Quibble's email marketing list. This means that you will receive promotional emails, updates, newsletters, and other marketing communications from Quibble.

We use Mailchimp for our email marketing services. You may opt out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the emails you receive or by adjusting your communication preferences in your account settings.

If you experience any difficulties unsubscribing from our email marketing list, please contact us at support@getquibble.com, and we will assist you in resolving the issue.

Please note that opting out of email marketing communications will not affect your ability to use Quibble’s core features and services.

4. Subscription Plans

Quibble offers various subscription tiers, each with different features and limitations:

  • Quibble Basic: Limited access to Quibble Basic questions, no access to Auto-Fill or Quibble Expert.
  • Quibble Plus: "Unlimited" (rate-limited) Quibble Basic questions, includes Auto-Fill and limited access to Quibble Expert questions.
  • Quibble Pro: "Unlimited" (rate-limited) access to Quibble Basic and Quibble Expert questions, includes Auto-Fill.

4.1 Free Daily Questions

When you sign up for Quibble, you will receive free questions every day, which reset daily. These questions can be used to ask various types of inquiries within the app. This daily allotment is provided at no cost to help users engage with the service on a regular basis.

4.2 Rate Limiting

  • The "Unlimited" in the description of the Quibble Plus and Quibble Pro plans refers to the absence of a specific monthly cap on the number of questions, but there is a daily usage limit to ensure fair access for all users.
  • The exact daily rate limits are set to 500 "Quibble Expert" questions per day and 500 "Quibble Basic" questions per day. These daily limits are subject to change and will be updated in the Terms accordingly.

4.3 Regular Limiting

Plans offering "Limited" access to Quibble Basic or Quibble Expert questions mean that the user has a set number of questions available each month, which expire at the end of the subscription period. These limits may change, and users will be notified in advance if such adjustments are made.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Quibble to engage in any unlawful activities, including but not limited to:

  • Using the extension for any fraudulent or illegal purpose.
  • Attempting to interfere with the normal functioning of Quibble.
  • Reverse engineering, disassembling, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of Quibble.

6. Intellectual Property

The Quibble Chrome Extension, including its original content, features, and functionality, are owned by Quibble and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

7. Privacy and Security

Quibble is committed to safeguarding your privacy and security. It operates privately atop your Learning Management System (LMS) platform without tapping into its API. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we protect your data.

8. Disclaimer

Quibble is intended to assist users with their academic activities, not to provide direct answers to assignments, quizzes, or exams. We strongly advise against using Quibble to cheat or otherwise engage in academic dishonesty. We cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from misuse of our services.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Quibble, its affiliates, or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers, or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, the Quibble website, Chrome extension, any websites linked to it, any content on the website or Chrome extension, or any services obtained through the website or Chrome extension, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, personal injury, pain and suffering, emotional distress, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill, loss of data, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract, or otherwise, even if foreseeable. In any case, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you are dissatisfied with any portion of Quibble, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Quibble, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Service or your use of Quibble, including, but not limited to, your User Contributions, any use of Quibble's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms of Service, or your use of any information obtained from Quibble.

11. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use Quibble after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use Quibble.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Quibble is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be resolved through arbitration in the jurisdiction in which Quibble is established, in accordance with the rules of that jurisdiction's Arbitration Association.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.

15. Compliance with Academic Policies

You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to comply with the academic policies of your educational institution, including but not limited to policies regarding academic integrity and honest work. We encourage you to use Quibble as a supplement to, and not a substitute for, your own work.

16. U.S. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

17. Export Control

The software that supports the Services is subject to United States export controls. No software may be downloaded from the Services or otherwise exported or re-exported in violation of U.S. export laws. Downloading or using the software is at your sole risk.

18. California Consumer Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or other laws. More information on your rights under California law can be found in our Privacy Policy.

19. Proprietary Rights

You acknowledge and agree that Quibble, and all necessary software used in connection with Quibble, contain proprietary and confidential information that is protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws. You further acknowledge and agree that content contained in sponsor advertisements or information presented to you through Quibble or advertisers is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, or other proprietary rights and laws.

20. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Quibble, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use Quibble will immediately cease.

21. Trademarks

"Quibble" and all related logos, products, and services described in our website and Chrome extension are trademarks of Owen Kobylanski MG LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, imitate, or use them without Owen Kobylanski MG LLC's prior written consent.

22. Severability

In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

23. Feedback

Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you may provide regarding Quibble is entirely voluntary, and we will be free to use such feedback, comments, or suggestions as we see fit and without any obligation to you.

24. Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between us and you individually. To the full extent permitted by law, (i) no arbitration or proceeding shall be joined with any other; (ii) there is no right or authority for any dispute to be arbitrated or resolved on a class action-basis or to utilize class action procedures; and (iii) there is no right or authority for any dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public or any other persons.

25. Permission for Use on Proprietary Learning Platforms


Students are required to obtain explicit permission from their teachers, the educational institution, and any copyright holders before using Quibble on assignments or tasks associated with proprietary learning platforms, including but not limited to Learning Management Systems (LMS) and any other academic platforms that are restricted to the educational institution's own use. This includes obtaining permission from the platform provider and any relevant content creators or copyright holders for the specific materials being accessed or used within Quibble. By using Quibble, you acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that the use of Quibble does not violate any academic policies, platform terms of service, or copyright laws. Failure to obtain the necessary permissions may result in the suspension or termination of your access to Quibble, as well as possible academic or legal consequences.
